As a 200:128 field experience student you will be expected to:
* complete a minimum of 25 hours in your field experience.
* display a professional attitude (i.e., behavior and appearance).
* become familiar with classroom schedule, routines, rules, and procedures.
* learn students¡¯ names and read their school files.
* record observations in focused journal entries.
The first two weeks identify examples and issues of management and motivation
(see II.B. Focus Questions For Observing In The Field Experience). The
last two weeks reflect on the components of teaching/learning. Connect
what you read and talk about in 200:148 Nature and Conditions of Learning
with what you see during the field experience.
* participate in instructional activities.
* implement two jointly planned lessons.
* reflect on the lessons with the PLS supervising teacher.

1. Keep confidential all information received about students
2. Maintain the dignity necessary to gain the respect of their students
3. Be responsible for creating a positive learning environment for all students
4. Be empathetic and courteous toward all students
5. Consider yourself to be members of the community of Price Lab School
6. Conform to disciplinary measures used in the classroom
7. Be a positive model for students - physically, mentally, ethically
8. Realize that each student is an individual, and take into consideration individual
abilities, interests, and preferences
9. Strive to be impartial in dealing with students and be fair in judging students'
actions and accomplishments
10. Refrain from imposing religious and political views upon students, and
exhibit an open-minded, tolerant attitude toward groups and individuals
