Dear Friend,

On behalf of the State of Iowa I send our sincere thank you to you for undertaking this important task of guiding heritage guests throughout our wonderful state.  One of the greatest resources of our state is its citizens. You are proof of that! We, in the Governor's office, believe that positively promoting our state is  vital to the continued success of Iowa.  The "land between two rives" as some call Iowa, has many, many cultural sites to visit.  In Iowa there are strong connections to cultural history.

As part of the Iowa Heritage Tour Task Force we are asking that you do the following:

1) organize and conduct a weeklong (seven day) tour of Iowa for the group assigned to you.  Each group will be particularly interested in visiting places associated with their culture. 

2) Your tour should allow your guests to visit all parts of our state, Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western.  Our main objective is to show that many cultures are positively impacting our state and the significance we place on our heritage and history.  

3) We would like you to create a budget for your tour.  You will need to include information on bussing charges, lodging (where to stay), and food. There will be a fee for the charter bus each day and a mileage charge.  Make sure to calculate the number of miles on your tour.  Remember, these tours are for the guests, treat them well.  

The chart at the bottom of the page will assist you in completing your budget.
