Dr. Ray Ruetzel

Dr. Ray Ruetzel is no stranger to the world of reading and reading instruction. A professor from Utah State University, Ray has extensive qualifications and experiences that he will share in his presentation infused with the most current research to inform practice and all five No Child Left Behind initiatives.

Dr. Reutzel is the current editor of The Reading Teacher, and has also done consulting work for McMillan/McGraw Hill. His work has been published in over 100 textbooks, journals and monographs. Over $3.9 million in grant money has been awarded to Ray for researching reading instruction. Dr. Reutzel received the A.B. Herr Award for Outstanding Research and Published Contributions to Reading Education from the College Reading Association in 1999.
